The Institute has been recognized by the
National Board of Examinations, Government of India as a post-graduate teaching institute. In this it offers a three-year post-graduate degree course in ophthalmology- DNB (Diplomat of National Board). This course
is equivalent to any other Master's degree Course in Ophthalmology all over the country and also recognized internationally.
Alakh Nayan Mandir has been accredited for conducting this course owing to it's efficient infrastructure, equipment, teaching aids and extra ordinarily efficient teaching faculty.
Training Centre for Paramedics
Studies suggest that with every ophthalmologist there should be at least 5 paramedics (optometrists or ophthalmic assistants). With about 500 ophthalmologists in Rajasthan, there are less than 100 trained optometrists or assistants. This shows that there is immense need for training of these candidates so that they can assist the eye doctor and help in treating and preventing curable blindness.
The institute offers a three year Degree Course in Ophthalmic Techniques -
BSc (Hons.)
O.T. in affiliation
with FORCE- Federation of Ophthalmic Research & Education Centre, and
IGNOU- Indira Gandhi National Open University
On-Going Academic Activites

Alakh Nayan Mandir begins its work every morning after these classes. Every Monday is a class on Improvement & Betterment of life and every Saturday is a class on Self-evaluation. This enhances the clinical and surgical skills of the eye specialists, creates better understanding of the subject for the paramedics, increases managerial efficiency of the administrative staff and manifests and develops the teaching faculty of every individual. This contributes to a task force with dedicated and professional attitude.
